Mood Board is a type of collage that you get gather the idea you want. When you doing a design, it’s not possible to find exactly same thing you want. Like, planning a wedding, how to you want your bouquet look like, the invitation, the menu, the arch, the centerpieces, the sweetheart table. The best way to present the idea is using a mood board. Basically, you can use all these design software to make a mood board. But each software has some features makes them easier to work on certain art design. I found Canva would or Gravit Designer would be the easiest ones for me to design the mood board. Affinity Design is powerful and do all different design but it means you need to do everything from the very beginning. Postermywall would be good and easy to design poster since it has a lot of poster template.
I like Canva for the mood board since it has the best template I could use it for my wedding design. It’s the same as Postermywall, you design everything online. https://www.canva.com . This is the template I used. It’s perfect for choosing the color I need for different design. It could fit 8 pictures in the design. It forced you to limit your pictures to the best 8 and find the feature part of the each image.
I am trying to design the “rustic botanical” theme. It did take me a while to find the colors from different pinterest on line to find those pictures. But along the way, I know the detail for the bride and groom is important. The design of the invitation is the key for all the calligraphy and stationaries. The flower is the key thing for the whole design. When all the florist design for bouquet, on arch, on centerpiece, on cake, is similar. it just unitized the whole theme.
I tried to put all these same pictures together using a online software Gravit Designer. The good thing about this software is that you don’t need to install it on your computer. You could if you want. It has a chrome version. Basically it would be just a app on your chrome browser like below. You can design from scratch for the whole thing and not limited to use the computer you use.

After I am familiar with the whole process, it is just easy for me to use it for different design ” Urban Garden”. This is using Canva.
