It’s our first time going to Boston and we love it so much! It’s a beautiful city, nice and clean, full of brown wall buildings, trees, and rivers. And of course, the lobsters as well! People called it ” Hub of the Universe” since there are 35 colleges and Universities in city of Boston including, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Harvard University, Boston University, Tufts University, Boston College, Northeastern University, Brandeis University, University of Massachusetts – Boston.
We were taking pictures for some families and couples. Originally, we didn’t know where to go since we have never been here before. Interestingly, after the discussion, they all want to have the sessions at these couples places. We found that the city of Boston is actually not too big. Boston common (1), Boston Public Garden (2), Beacon Hill (3), and Newbury Street (4) are people’s favorites.
Boston common (1), Boston Public Garden (2) are parks with trees and lakes. It’s the perfect place for having pictures. Luckily, we even see white squirrel in the park. How rare it is? or it’s only in Boston?!
The Beacon Hill (3) is beautiful, too. A lot of restaurants and shops which you can walk around, shop around, and eat around. It was raining when we came here. But it doesn’t reduce the beauty of this area. People walked on the red bricks, and they even like to walk their dogs when it’s raining. Starbucks store is a brown wall beautiful, even, the real estate office is full of history, too.
The Paramount (5), one of the highest reviewed restaurant in Boston, located in Beacon Hill. It’s a weekday raining day. You still see a lot of eaters here. Their famous dishes are the breakfast and brunch. We came in the afternoon so we had the burgers and sandwiches, they are good, too! https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-paramount-boston
We saw “Tatte Bakery” in Beacon Hill. Actually, there are total 11 stores in Boston. It’s a famous local bakery with decent pastries and organic coffee. The coffee beam is famous Stumptown, Oregon.
Another nice area is the “Newbury Street”, here we see more fashion stores. Good to see some nice restaurants and coffee shops along the way. The bridal shop and nails shops, too! Beautifully, they are all in the brown wall buildings.
Famous New York Shake Shack has one store here. We just can’t stop to try our this one. I always love the Shroom Burger the most. With cheese inside the mushroom, burger is super super cheesy and yummy!
At the corner of Newbury Street closed to the Boston Public Garden. You see more luxury stores.
The coffee shop is a treasure here that we can take a break when you overwhelmed with those stores. It’s another local coffee shop, the scale is smaller than “Tatte” but nice and welcoming.
Finally, we made it to the best lobster, oyster, seafood restaurant in Boston, the “Island Creek”. On the way to there, it’s around sunset time, we see the beautiful Charles River.
A lot of people, we waited about an hour to get in! Yes. You can make the reservation on opentable. We were not sure about our schedule but it’s really worth to wait. https://www.yelp.com/biz/island-creek-oyster-bar-boston
They have so many selection of the oyster, mostly come around Massachusetts. We tried three different kinds. And we also found out in the future we can also order those oyster on-line and they ship nation-wide. That’s super great! https://shop.islandcreekoysters.com/collections/seafood-1?_ga=2.120326216.114540577.1539207852-1545992045.1539207852
Then, we ordered the Boston lobster and our favorite seafood, scallops. The lobster bisque and lobster roe noodle are amazing, the amount of lobster is very worthy of the money. And the meat is so sweet, tender, and super yummy. The scallops are good, too!
Island Creek is the definitely the must go place when you come to Boston!!!!!!
